Amsterdam Channel Cruise 2012

We were in Amsterdam for a few days but enjoyed the city very much. What we love in Amsterdam is the architecture, and its famous channels of course. Could you imagine that the very first cruise in the history of the Amsterdam channels took place in far 1621 when Queen Elisabeth Stuart of Bohemia was welcomed into the city in a parade of festively decorated admiralty sloops.

Today every one can take Amsterdam channels cruise probably without Amsterdammers cheering on bridges and channels-sides as they did it for the Queen but no doubt to be enjoed like a Queen with a beauty of this wonderful old city. Some of them such as famous “Champagne and Roses Cruise”’ and “Pre Champagne Dinner Cruise” have been the scene of many wedding proposals as well.

Actually there are many different options to take cruise on Amsterdam channels. As to us, we chose 1 hour cruise, for €14 cost per person. Also you can order a privite table on a classic saloon boat to enjoye both beautiful views and a delicious a la carte 3-course dinner. The main station where you can buy any cruises you love is near central rail station.

Learn Where to Find Motorhome or Caravan Spares Before They Are Needed

Whether you own a newer model or an older motorhome eventually some type of repair or replacement will be needed. Heaters, refrigerators, air conditioners, toilets, and many other parts tend to wear out after a while. Caravan spares such as those at Jacksons Camping are available through many distributors and dealers who sell various parts. The trick is to find the distributors who have what you need when you need it.

Many caravan spares dealers offer guidance when new parts are needed. Some will offer phone advice while others provide schematics and diagrams to help owners diagnose and fix the problem more easily. If you need some assistance in removing an old part and replacing a new part having a diagram can be beneficial.

Look for dealers that carry a full range of parts. You may decide to upgrade or replace a few items before the next season. Having the parts available in one location is convenient and makes preparing for a season of relaxation and enjoyment less stressful.

Dealers that making finding parts easy will usually provide a catalog with parts divided into appropriate categories. This makes finding what you need a simple process. You must know which category to look under for certain items. For example, for windows, seals, and window stays you will likely need to choose the ventilation category. For motor and towing parts you will need to look under the chassis category.

If you own an older model caravan you will be more likely to find the caravan spares you need from a large dealer who carries a range of products for several different models. When searching for replacements it is always best to have the part number handy in the event that the dealer must order the specific part. Ordering the needed parts well in advance means you will be ready when the time comes to travel to your favourite holiday destination with your caravan or motorhome.

Caravan spares are available in abundance if you know where to look. If you do not live close to a dealer your best option may be to order the needed part online. This means you should know exactly what you need when ordering and should understand how you will proceed in installing the replacement after it arrives.

Camping Cooking Equipment – How to Buy the Right Items

Anyone who has ever gone camping will know how important it is to bring the right camping cooking equipment. However, a mistake that many first time campers make is to bring too many items. There are many great supplies and items that one can take advantage of. At the same time, camping means travelling light, especially if one is hiking to his or her camp spot. Following are some tips on how to buy the right camping cooking equipment without overdoing.

Having the right cookware is essential. A cast iron pot should be used for cooking over the open flame; regular pots and pans will not be able to withstand the heat. Utensils with long hands should be used to stir the food, as these will help one to keep a safe distance from the fire while cooking.

Some campers opt for a camp stove. Such a stove is very useful, especially for those who do not want to cook over an open flame. However, those who use such a camp stove will also have to bring propane for the stove.

Some experienced campers recommend bringing mountain pie irons. This item is not a must but can be very useful for making any type of sandwich on the go. It is a great item to have on hand, especially if one is planning a trip that is longer than a day or two.

Shopping Tips

Those who are buying camping cooking equipment for the first time may want to ask an experienced friend or relative for advice on which items to buy. Checking online reviews of certain products is also a good idea and will help one to get a good idea of what any given product is like. Websites such as Outdoor World sell a vareity of different types of cooking equipment. It is also important to note how much any given item weighs, as some items are quite heavy.

Camping is meant to be an enjoyable activity. Having the right cooking equipment will help to make the experience truly memorable for everyone. No one wants to bring more items than necessary, but being sure to have essential items on hand will ensure that everyone can get tasty, well cooked food after a long day of hiking, trekking, swimming, fishing and other similar activities.
